Crisis Intervention Behavioral Stabilization (CIBS)
Students with IEPs needing additional behavioral supports may be placed in one of the SPEED schools on a temporary basis, up to 10 (ten) days to receive special services and supports, as part of their individualized Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP), often in lieu of suspension. Academic assignments are provided by the home school district and students are provided instructional and technology supports in addition to the special education and related services identified on their IEPs. Enhanced social work services are provided to help teach improved problem-solving skills.
