Early Learning Center (ELC)
SPEED Early Learning Center provides a variety of educational and family-centered services for children from birth through 5th grade who have developmental and/or intellectual disabilities.
Program for Adaptive Learning (PAL)
PAL provides special education and related therapeutic services to students in 6ththrough 12thgrades emphasizing self-care, independence, social skills and functional academics
Independence Elementary and High Schools (IND)
SPEED Independence schools provide highly-structured individualized educational programs to help prepare students to function as competent, self-reliant adults. The schools serve students grades K-12 with disabilities, primarily those who are impacted by poor self-regulation and behavior problems.
Academy for Life Long Learning (ALL)
The Academy provides transition programming for students ages 18-22 who require additional supports to participate as independant members of our communities.
SPEED CONNECTIONS Program
SPEED CONNECTIONS provides intensive therapeutic instruction covering academic, communication, social and behavioral skills for students with autism and other pervasive developmental disabilities. Classrooms are located within the ELC and PAL schools.
Crisis Intervention Behavioral Stabilization (CIBS)
Students with IEPs needing additional behavioral supports may be placed in one of the SPEED schools on a temporary basis, up to 10 (ten) days to receive special services and supports, as part of their individualized Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP), often in lieu of suspension.
Family Enrichment Program (FEP)
FEP is a Prevention Initiative program for families with infants and toddlers that includes fun activities, play sessions, Parent Education Workshops, field trips and home visits to help prepare young children and their families for school.
